Some of New Jersey's sludgiest death metal bands, 'Choker' and 'Jesus Wept' passed through Philadelphia as part of a three day weekender in support of their new split EP. They were joined at Century Bar by 'Since the Fire', 'Tartarus Horde', and the incredible tech powerhouse 'Irrita' Counterparts passed through Philadelphia on July 31st as part of the 2019 Pure Noise Tour. The Canadian melodic hardcore act brought a powerful mix of deep emotion and intensity to the Theater of the Living Arts, playing a fan pleasing mix of new and old tunes, including a new track off their upcoming album called "Nothing Left To Love". Never a disappointment, Counterparts is a must-see live performance for fans of metalcore and hardcore. Their most recent release, the "Private Room" EP, is available via Pure Noise Records.
